A Paragraph of What I’m About.

Stretching myself and reaching into the unknowns. Tryin’ to do everything I’m scared to do. Seein’ everyday as a challenge and an opportunity for progression through acting rather than talking. Toying with meditation. Occasionally smoking American Spirits. Drinking Miller High Life’s. Listening to HELLA SLAPS. Spending more time with family. Trying to be a better friend. Job hunting unsuccessfully. Watching “The Dark Knight” HELLA too much. Just tryin’ to live and be cool, feel me? Trying to be more honest to myself and others (no matter how well i know them). Writing to beats that Senbei gave me to write to & then recording what i wrote over those beats & tryin’ to put the finishing touches on our project titled “The Mitchell Report.” Shaking up everything I think I know and trying to see the world in as fresh a way as possible. Am I soundin’ too Berkeley for anyone? Oh well, it’s how the fuck I’m feelin’ right now and that’s pretty much what I’m workin’ on being comfortable with anyway. Hollerrrr.

you’ve got some good info and right on analysis. i’m not so familiar with blogs, but i wanted to let you know i respect your postings. check out berkeley copwatch cuz we’re organizing with the family of Anita Gay and probably Gary King Jr around the recent shootings.

    Alex,

First off let me say thanks for reading, getting at me, and showing me your respect. The blog kind of feels like i’m anonymously typing t
o everyone and nobody at the same time, especially when my own patnas never leave comments.

I’m pretty sure that I checked out that Berkeley Copwatch website and the last time it had been updated was a long ass time ago, but I’ll check it again to see what’s up. That’s great to hear that they are organizing with these families. Good lookin’ out.

I was also attempting to find out what’s goin’ on with the mural for Gary King Jr. I’m in TX but I was talkin’ to the artist who did the mural, Paul Barron. He was telling me that they where tryin’ to paint over it!!! Does anyone know what’s happenin’ w/that???

    gregory,

    blud…

no one has written on this wall ina hot minute but i jus thought i’d throw a shoutout up here real quick and remind u how tough u go. i know it aint always easy wrestling with & recognizing all our angels & demons, but i hope (and believe) u know that im here to do battle alongside you, and think (and believe) you’d do the same for me. i think something we share is that we realize FULLY that muhf*ckas aint perfect (esp. ourselves), but that to dwell on pplz shortcomings, be they our own or someone else’s is a ginormous waste of f*ckin time.

the other day aki sed the most brilliant sh*t. out of nowhere i ask him, “whats worse, to hate yourself, or hate the world? cause right now im kinda moving from hating the world to hating myself.” this young barista/bass player says, “thats retarded. you gotta hate the world. ppl who hate the world get angry and change sh*t. people who hate themselves dont do sh*t.” dynamic souls: for real, for real.

    Anyhoo…

    the mitchell report LP:
to the best mixed heritage, asian/black combo since tiger woods (yao/t-mac didnt do so well in this poll =T),

    HELLA stupid =D,
